The Project
This is my first completely finished comic called Unstable Beauty. I created a story pitch for the Fantastic Freights Anthology at Cloudscape Comics. The Fantastic Freights Anthology required a fantasy and horror themed story for children ages 8 to 13 with 9 x 6 book dimensions. I wasn't chosen for the anthology. I created the story anyway!

The Rationale
I made several thumbnails for each page. I penciled, inked and added colour to create the finished comic by hand. I did slight touch ups after scanning my artwork.
The story is social commentary on societies unrealistic beauty standards. I wanted to tell this story to show that what you believe has more power than anything anyone says about how you should look. I strongly believe that we are all beautiful because we are alive. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful in their bodies.
