The images with the illustrated mountain is my package redesign. The other image is the original packaging.
The Project
I was tasked with redesigning a series of three food packaging designs of my own choosing. I choose three organic GoGo Quinoa pastas.

The Rationale
This package design inspired by the story of how the founder Martin Bilodeau created GoGo quinoa. Martin took a backpacking trip in South America. During his travels, he went to Bolivia and was introduced to quinoa harvesting. He decided to take this nutritious grain and bring the food to Canada. The mountain range around the package towers above La Paz Bolivia where the quinoa is harvested. The textile pattern is common in clothing markets and indigenous clothing in Bolivia.
Each package would be made of 100% recyclable cardboard. Of the three initial packages I bought, two packages were made of plastic. By the projects end, I was happy to see the packages were redesigned to use only recyclable cardboard too! During this project, I learned to keep making thumbnails to explore ideas that I don't know are going to work out. That's how I created this fun design that I love!
